One of the most comforting truths in Scripture is that life is made up of seasons. Some are full of planting, some of harvesting, some are about beginnings, and others about letting go, but through all of them, God remains faithful.
Back in February, during Lent, I committed to writing a daily devotion, a small offering of time each morning after I sit with God and reflect on His Word, to share what He was placing on my heart. I didn’t expect how deeply it would bless not only those who read them but also me. That daily rhythm of writing added to my morning holy habit, and your feedback, encouragement, and stories have meant more than you know.
But like all seasons, even good ones, change comes.

As I lean more deeply into my doctoral work and the calling to dig into the richness of biblical scholarship, I find that my morning hours, those sacred times of reflection, are being asked for in new ways. My devotion time isn’t ending, of course, but it is shifting. Instead of writing daily devotions that I share here, I’ll only be posting a devotion one or two days each week. On the other days, I’ll continue to share shorter words of encouragement, brief reminders of God’s presence, His promises, and His peace.
For those of you who are hungry for deeper scriptural study and biblical reflection, I’m also excited to share that I’ll be posting more scholarly, biblical writings on our church website https://nhfchurch.net/category/reflections/ This link does not have anything there yet, but I hope to test it out later today. I will begin sharing more frequent reflections in the next week or so, though you might catch one or two before then as I get into the rhythm.
This is a new season. And while it may look different, I trust, as always, that God is in it. I’ll continue to update what’s going on in our shed, as we are still listening for God’s call in all of that.
Thank you for walking with me, for reading, for praying, and for being part of this journey. I can’t wait to see what God continues to do, in me, in you, and in all of us, as we walk with Him, one day at a time. God bless you all. Enjoy this beautiful Thursday.
