Today, my heart overflows with gratitude as we celebrate the 2nd birthday of our precious granddaughter, Eloise. It’s hard to believe two years have passed since she first came into our lives, a tiny bundle of joy that shares my middle name. And now, here she is: bold, bright-eyed, and brimming with courage.

Eloise may be the younger sibling and the littlest among her cousins, but she is quick to show that she’s not to be underestimated. She keeps up with the older kids like a seasoned explorer… determined and always in the mix. Whether climbing, chasing, or discovering new wonders in the yard, Eloise holds her own. She definitely takes after her mama.

Her courage and spirit have already caught her Papa Jeff’s eye. We both see something wild and adventurous blooming in her… something that says she might be the next trapper, explorer, or fearless wanderer in the family. There’s a gleam in her eye that hints at stories yet to be written.

While today we will go on a little adventure to celebrate Eloise, my heart overflows with love and thanks for all our grandchildren. Each one brings such unique light and energy into my life. They fill my days with laughter, activity, and purpose,  reminding me constantly of God’s generosity.

Eloise’s birthday is more than a milestone. It’s a moment to praise God for the gift of watching little lives grow into who they’re meant to be. I pray she continues to walk boldly, to love deeply, and to live with joy and wonder. May Eloise always feel the love of her family and the guidance of her Creator as she discovers the adventure of life.

Happy 2nd birthday, sweet Eloise. You are deeply loved, and we can’t wait to see all the places your brave little feet will take you.
