This morning, Romans 8:28, is the scripture that keeps bubbling to the surface as I am back to my normal early morning place with God. It says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
This past week, as you know, I stepped away from social media, not to disconnect from the world, but to reconnect more deeply with God, myself, and others. I spent time immersed in my Doctorate of Ministry work, and in that sacred space, I not only learned more about theology and leadership but about my own heart, my relationships, and the way God weaves His truth through every part of our lives.
God used this time to reveal insights about pastoral leadership, the dynamics of personality, and the value of authentic connection with others. I met new friends, a few that truly felt like divine appointments, and rekindled friendships that had slipped away due to nothing other than life’s demands. But most powerfully, I experienced a moment of reconciliation that only God could orchestrate, one that is still unfolding in my heart, but I hope to share at some point.
There’s a depth to God’s grace that often escapes us in the noise. But in the quiet, God speaks clearly. Jesus reminded me that no pain is wasted when we put it in His hands. Even the most hurtful stories can become testimonies of joy and redemption when we give them over to our loving God.
As I process all the Spirit’s done over the past week, I’m praising God for the intricate, loving way God works in and through our lives…turning mourning into dancing, and strangers (or estranged hearts) into family again.
Happy Monday, friends! Today begins my month of transition. I am looking forward to all God is doing and can’t even imagine what comes next. Peace and blessings on this day and the week ahead. 🙏 ❤️
