This week I have had the privilege of driving to work just after the sun is coming up. This morning a little before 6 a.m. I stopped to take this picture. I took a deep breath and thanked God for the beautiful morning and immediately thought of someone important to me who is struggling right now. When his face came to mind, I looked back at that light shining through the clouds and asked God to help him battle the demon he is fighting. As I put my car back into gear to move along, Matthew West’s new song, Mended, came on The Message (the Sirius radio station most often played in my car.) This so often happens to me. Music was such a huge part of Trevor’s life and has always been in mine. So many times I hear just the song I need to lighten my mood, put things in perspective, or to just remember past experiences that I don’t want to forget.
I hope the person that needs to hear this reads it today, but this message isn’t just for one person. If you are struggling with anything in your life, if you think you are just too far removed for God to love you…you are so wrong. Where you see broken, He sees mended.
