Heavenly Father, our hearts overflow with gratitude and awe. We lift up Your holy name in praise for the safe arrival of our precious grandson, August, and for Your healing hand upon his mommy. Lord, we remember how the doctors prepared us for the worst, how they spoke words of certainty about trials we “couldn’t avoid.” Yet You, O God, had the final word. What they didn’t know was that a mighty army of prayer warriors had been lifting this family before Your throne for months. And prayer works, Lord, because You are faithful to hear and answer.

I thank You not only for life and healing, but also for the tender ways You reminded me that we are never alone. On that long, anxious day in the hospital, when worry tried to press in, You sent me a visible reminder of Your love through the presence of dear friends. When I turned and saw Kim and John, who had driven two hours just to sit with us, it was like You wrapped Your arms around us in flesh and blood. Their compassion reflected Your own heart. That day will forever be etched in our memories as a testimony of Your kindness expressed through Your people.

Father, we stand in awe of how You weave prayer, healing, friendship, and love into the tapestry of our story. May we never take for granted the gift of community, the miracle of answered prayer, and the preciousness of new life.

Today, I praise You for:

The safe birth of a beautiful baby boy, August (Auggie) Reed Carr.

The healing and protection over Megan.

The shortened hospital stay, no NICU, no need for ICU, no transfusions!!!

The strength You gave us in moments of fear.

The presence of faithful friends, John and Kim, who became Your hands and feet to us.

Lord, may our lives always declare, “Prayer works! God is faithful. Love never fails.”
