It’s a rainy Monday, and everything in me wants to crawl back into bed, crack open one of the dozen books I’m reading, and pretend the to-do list in my planner doesn’t exist. Anybody else? The sky is gray, (but look at the sunrise colors in the photo I took) the tea isn’t quite strong enough (God has helped me finally kick my coffee habit), and the motivation I need must’ve hit snooze this morning.

And yet, here we are… still breathing, still called, still loved.
Rainy Mondays don’t cancel our purpose. They just test how deeply we believe that even small obedience matters. You may not climb a mountain today, but you can take the next right step. You can offer your work (even your feeble, weary effort) as worship. You can be gentle with yourself and still faithful to what God has asked you to carry today.
Maybe motivation isn’t loud today. Maybe it’s just quiet faithfulness. You know… getting up, doing the next thing, trusting that the rain and the clouds don’t cancel God’s presence.
So here’s your invitation today: Don’t quit. Don’t hide. Don’t binge-watch your calling away (even if that rerun of Little House on the Prairie is calling your name). Rest in moments, sure, but don’t lose the bigger picture. You are sowing seeds that matter.
Let the rain remind you that God waters what we plant and He never forgets the harvest.
