I want to share an important reminder that I was hit with after returning home from the ROCK weekend. I know I’ve already shared how amazing it was. God is still teaching me, reminding me, leading me through all of what I experienced.
I’m still coming down from that Holy Spirit-filled weekend. The worship was so powerful! There were moments when the Spirit’s presence was undeniable. Lives were changed. My spirit was full. Hearts were on fire, including my own.
And then I came home.
Cue: laundry.
Less than 24 hours after that mountaintop experience, I found myself standing in front of the washing machine with a hamper full of dirty clothes, thinking, “Well… this is a change in perspective.”

But right there, in the middle of my load of bedding from the comfy camp bed 😉, God gently reminded me of something powerful:
Jesus is just as present in the laundry room as He was at ROCK.
Whoa. That realization honestly changed the rest of my day.
It’s so easy to think that God only meets us in the big, spiritual, tear-filled moments. But in Colossians 3:23, Paul says something that blows that idea out of the water: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord…”
“Whatever” includes worship, but it also includes work. And yes, it even includes laundry.
You may not feel particularly holy when you’re answering emails, cooking dinner, fixing a leaky faucet, or chasing toddlers, but those moments matter. Your faith doesn’t switch off when the worship music ends. In fact, our everyday lives might be one of the most important places our faith is lived out.
When we show up with love and integrity in our routines, when we offer our “regular” tasks to God, they become acts of worship. Ordinary things become sacred ground.
So whether you’re folding towels or leading a meeting today, do it as if you’re doing it for Jesus. Because, in a very real way, you are.
