“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” – Proverbs 3:5–6

One of the most beautiful truths of walking with God is that He invites us into a personal, daily relationship with Him. God isn’t distant or uninterested. He is close, present, and actively involved in every detail of our lives. The more we draw near to Him, the more we begin to hear His voice, sense His direction, and trust His timing.

We long to know God’s will for our lives… what to do, where to go, how to respond. But Scripture reminds us that discernment doesn’t come from frantic searching or trying to figure it all out on our own. It flows from a relationship. When we spend time in Scripture, in prayer, and simply in God’s presence, we become more attuned to His Spirit. His voice becomes clearer. His peace becomes stronger. His leading becomes more evident.

Daily connection with God isn’t about ritual. It’s about that relationship. Jesus said in John 10:27, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” That verse reminds us that the more time we spend with the Shepherd, the more confidently we can follow His lead, even when the path feels uncertain.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how God is leading me now. My journey hasn’t always been the easiest, but it’s been filled with grace, purpose, and God’s quiet assurance. Looking back, I can see how He was guiding me even when I didn’t fully understand. And for that, I’m deeply grateful. God’s faithfulness has been constant through the changes, the waiting, the open doors, and even the closed ones.

Last night, as women were entering the church for our Bible study, my friend Kandace came in and told me my name was on the sign out front. “You’re official,” she said. This simple gesture, recognizing my role on the ministry team at our church, reminded me of the incredible journey God has taken me on.

Over the past ten years in ministry, I’ve seen His hand gently and persistently weaving everything together to bring me to this exact place, serving as a pastor at New Hope Fellowship. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude to be here, right where He’s called me to be, knowing this is exactly where Jeff and I both belong.

Psalm 32:8 says, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” What a promise… that God not only points the way but walks with us in it, watching over us with love.

Today, I’m reminded that the key to clarity isn’t having all the answers. It’s staying close to the One who does. If we keep seeking Jesus daily, we can trust that He will make our paths straight, even when we can’t see the full road ahead.
