No Matter What, Be Still and Know

By

There are three words that can change how we see our challenges, our chaos, and even our dreams, “no matter what.”

No matter what, God is still God.

In Psalm 46:10, we read the powerful words: “Be still, and know that I am God.” It’s a call to pause, not because everything is calm, but precisely because sometimes it’s not. It’s a reminder that no matter what we face, we are not facing it alone.

We live in a world that often makes us feel as if we should do more, fix more, and achieve more. But God invites us into a different posture, one of stillness. Why? Because He’s in control. No matter the storm, the silence, or the struggle, God remains faithful.

No matter the circumstances, God is present.
No matter the heartbreak, God is the healer.
No matter the question, God is the answer.
No matter the waiting, God is working.

“Be still” doesn’t mean give up. It means let go of trying to hold everything together in your own strength. Let God be God in your life. Trust that His hands are strong enough to hold what yours cannot.

Today, if you’re tired, anxious, or wondering how things will work out, let this truth settle into your soul: No matter what, you are held, you are loved, and God is still in control.

Be still.
And know.
